Great American Songbook Foundation Museum
The Great American Songbook Museum (GASF) in Carmel, Indiana, is creating an immersive music experience to educate and entertain the public, while also serving as an archival facility and possible event and meetings space. Hunden Partners’ role in the pre-planning process includes benchmarking of feasible case studies, preliminary projection of demand and financial analysis, and serving as a springboard for discussion of site analysis and other key points.
Situation
Hunden Partners is currently engaged with the Great American Songbook Foundation (GASF) to conduct a preliminary feasibility study for a music museum and event space concept in Carmel, Indiana. The goal of GASF is to develop an immersive, experience-driven music museum that will serve as a hub for existing GASF programming including educational music programs and music therapy programs, and the facility’s vast collection of music and musician artifacts. Other possible features include meeting and event space to fill gaps in the Carmel market, expansion of the 3D artifacts catalogue of the museum, and recommendations for attracting long-distance visitors through innovative and memorable concepts.
Approach
Hunden is working to answer the key questions posed by GASF at this stage of the pre-planning process, in addition to providing benchmarking case studies and preliminary layouts and budgets for the Project.
Impact
Site validation, measuring public interest, exploring iconic concepts, and understanding the potential revenue model are among the most critical aspects of the concepts for the Client to consider at this stage.
