Franco Matticoli is a Project Manager on the Hunden Partners team. He acts as a direct point of contact for a variety of clients, managing communication efforts and progress updates throughout major real estate, hospitality, venue development, and tourism projects. Internally, Franco leads the report creation and execution process with our team of analysts to gather and interpret market data from kickoff meetings and research to the delivery of findings and recommendations.
His career at Hunden has led to a focus on development analysis and financial feasibility studies for entertainment-anchored mixed-use districts, hotels, arenas and entertainment venues, multi-use sports and recreation facilities, and convention centers. Recently, he has led analytical work for a stadium operations, governance, and revenue optimization assessment of Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego; a Market, Financial Feasibility, and Economic Impact Analysis for the expansion of the Houston SaberCats Stadium and sports campus; a Retail Evolution Study and Action Plan for The Glen Town Center in the Chicago metropolitan area; a Destination Master Plan for Visit Bentonville; a short-term rental housing market, economic impact, and policy analysis in Hawaiʻi County, Hawaiʻi; and a Conference Center Market Demand Study for a proposed conference center and headquarters hotel district in Burlington, Vermont, among others.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Franco earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. During his time at IU, he was very involved in the Real Estate Program through his Associate role on the Marketing and Administration team at Sample Gates Management, IU’s Real Estate Private Equity Fund, and the Commercial Real Estate Workshop. He continued his studies for a semester in Madrid, Spain, where he took finance classes at Universidad Carlos III. Prior to joining the team as a full-time analyst, Franco worked at Hunden Partners as a summer intern specializing in economic impact for catalytic developments in downtown markets.
