Katie Close is the Senior Business Development and Proposal Manager at Hunden Partners, where she leads strategic pursuits and business development efforts that advance the firm's growth. Her work strengthens Hunden's competitive pursuits across destination, tourism, sports, and development initiatives in tourism and destination planning; market assessment, financial feasibility and economic impact; development implementation and advisory; and strategic planning and governance.
With more than nine years of experience in business development and proposal management, Katie has led high-profile pursuits, strengthened proposal operations, and developed scalable processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and strategic positioning.
Katie holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communication from Edinboro University, a campus of Pennsylvania Western University, where she was a member of the Fighting Scots swim team. She continues her passion for swimming as a member of the Joliet Blue Tides masters swim team and enjoys reading, tending her growing collection of plants, and spending time with family.
